We had the fun opportunity this summer to 1. Work in Austin, TX and 2. Turn a convention center into a local backyard hangout. We worked with a local DMC company to create a networking exhibitor space that was similar to what you might find at local distillery…something that is very popular in the ATX area. We brought in astroturf, string lights, and a variety of different types of outdoor patio chairs. It made for bright and cheerful area for our attendees to gather and commence when they were not inside the general session room.
In the general session room, we created a 3-part stage. The main stage used local iconic wall murals from the Austin area. The two smaller stages that flanked the main stage were a bit simpler. One side was neon cactus lights with letters that spelled “HOWDY”, and the other stage was to replicate a local vinyl store with vintage letters that spelled “RECCORDS”. The whole set up created a fun and whimsical backdrop for the attendees.
