Virtual Events Over Multiple Time Zones

With much of the world shifting to virtual for the foreseeable future, we find ourselves learning how to adapt.  Recently supporting a global program with participants oversees, we split the audience into two sessions.  One for our EMEA participants (Europe, Middle East & Asia) and another for the Americas time zone.

Our team, based in Texas, were operating the EMEA sessions starting at 1am.  Following that session, we would take a 5-hour break to regroup and let’s be honest, nap before we stepped into the Americas session at 10am.  We gathered all the caffeine and snacks one could want to ensure we were productive in such distinctive time zones.  In one way it was much like an in-person event given that we still had our moments of delirium and laughs.
